Giving

At St Mary’s, we want to be generous with all that God has given us—our time, energy, gifts, and finances.

Stewardship Sunday 2025 – Respond Online

As part of our 2025 Giving Appeal, we’re asking for every member of our church family to prayerfully review their giving and respond

Please read the Giving & Generosity booklet (available in print or online), which explains this year’s appeal and the needs of both the PCC and the Christian Workers Trust.

You can complete your PCC Response Form quickly and securely online here.

You can make a pledge towards the CWT one-off housing project here

Even if your giving isn’t changing this year, returning the PCC form helps us plan wisely and budget responsibly for ministry in 2025 and beyond.

Giving at St Mary's

We don’t take up collections during our services, and there’s no expectation for visitors to give. No pressure at all.

But for those who consider St Mary’s their church family, giving financially is one way we can partner in the mission—here in Basingstoke and around the world. We believe generosity is both good for others and good for us—just as Jesus said: “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” (Acts 20:35)

All giving is handled with discretion and care. Only our two appointed Giving Secretaries are aware of individual contributions. We’re also committed to managing our finances wisely and transparently—something our PCC takes seriously.

Thank you for your generosity and partnership in the gospel.

Urgent: New Bank Details for Giving

St Mary’s has a new HSBC account for receiving gifts via bank transfer or Standing Order. For details of these new account details, email Ali Bowen (Treasurer) or David Marlow (Stewardship Secretary).

Please update your standing order and cancel the new one before 1 November 2025 to avoid St Mary’s incurring extra bank charges.

Leaving a Gift in Your Will

Some members of St Mary’s choose to leave a gift to the church in their Will (a “legacy”) — a way of continuing to support gospel work beyond their lifetime.

After providing for loved ones, a legacy gift can be a simple and powerful way to invest in the future of the church, helping others hear the good news of Jesus for years to come.

There’s no expectation, but if that’s something you’d like to consider, we’d be very happy to talk it through. Please get in touch with .
