Steve & Sarah moved to Leicester in July 2021 for Steve to be a church planting curate. They launched Living Hope Church Thurmaston on 18 September 2022, 38 adults attended the service which was unexpectedly a Thanksgiving service for the Queen. Give thanks for God’s goodness in growing the planting team who were commissioned on 25 September the service was followed by a wonderful launch celebration. Living Hope Church meets each Sunday at 4pm.Their prayer is that meeting in a school, and the relaxed and engaging nature of the gatherings, will draw families to join. The work of planting will be rooted in prayer, as each Monday evening they Pray for Thurmaston. The Community group on Wednesday evenings will enable their relationships with one another and with God to deepen through Bible study & fellowship. Their goal is to be a church in the community of Thurmaston, to share the gospel. Community Engagement includes Bright Sparks toddler group: plans to start a Coffee Connect morning: Dad’s & Children Saturday group. Meeting in the CofE junior school provides many amazing opportunities – running a weekly lunchtime craft group, assemblies at the three schools in the area.
